Our Story: Creating the Tools We Wish We Had

Our founder and CEO, a seasoned software engineer with experience at Google, Meta, and top-tier FAANG, saw a growing gap in the tools available for technical interviews and developer collaboration. While other platforms provided useful functionality, they often came at a steep cost—and with limited customization or privacy options.

Through countless interviews and coding sessions, he noticed the same issues again and again: rigid platforms that didn’t support real-time debugging, solutions priced out of reach for smaller teams, and a lack of flexibility that hindered the candidate experience.So, he set out to build something better.

Vector Edge Tech was born out of a desire to create developer-first tools—products that are affordable, easy to use, and data-conscious, without compromising on quality. Our platform empowers hiring teams to assess candidates fairly and effectively, while giving developers a collaborative, respectful, and seamless experience.

We believe that great technology should be available to everyone, not just the biggest players. That’s why we’re focused on building lightweight, secure, and scalable tools that put people—not processes—first.

BytePanel FAQs

Note: BytePanel is currently in active development. We're excited to bring you the full experience by June 2025. In the meantime, here’s what you can expect from the platform once it's live.

  • Sessions will be securely stored for up to 12 months, giving your team time to review and revisit past interviews. You’ll also be able to manually delete or archive sessions as needed.

  • Yes—privacy and data control are core to our design. Interview content will only be visible to team members with the right access, and you’ll have full control over sharing settings.

  • BytePanel will support over 30 popular languages, including Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, and more. We’re constantly expanding this list—let us know what you’d like to see.

  • Yes. You'll be able to download code, transcripts, and notes as PDFs or share them with secure, view-only links. We're building in flexible options for documentation and collaboration.

  • Absolutely. BytePanel is being built for live code execution, so both interviewers and candidates can write, run, and debug code together—no delays, no switching tabs.

  • Yes! We’re integrating a collaborative whiteboard and diagramming tools ideal for system design interviews, brainstorming sessions, or walkthroughs of technical concepts.

  • We're still finalizing our pricing model and subscription plans as we prepare for our full launch in June 2025.
